To ensure independence of the program leadership should reside within a partnership. This may include the science departments of the UN missions, science and technology diplomats at foreign missions, universities, students, NGOs, and tech start-ups.

 
To ensure that the briefings are timely and of highest relevance to upcoming UN member state decisions, an Advisory Board will convene prominent members of the NY scientific community, UN agency and member state representatives plus senior UN representatives who can convey messages in the interest of UN as a whole.
